Expert medical care for a healthier you
At Tongue River Valley Walk-in Clinic, we're dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare in a caring, compassionate, and peaceful environment. Our mission is to empower our patients through trust and partnership to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
Founded by Glennda Grier, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of combined experience in acute care and outpatient healthcare, our clinic is located at the base of the Bighorn Mountains in the serene Tongue River Valley. We are proud to partner with Dr. Michael Strahan, an Internal Medicine Specialist with over 40 years of experience, located in Ranchester, Wyoming.
We offer comprehensive healthcare services, including primary care, urgent care, orthopedics, preventive care, and more. Our Direct Primary Care (DPC) model ensures affordable, accessible, and personalized care for our patients, with same-day or next-day visits during normal business hours, extended office visits, and unlimited access to providers through our patient portal.
We treat each patient as an individual, focusing on the health and well-being of the whole person.
Our experienced medical team is dedicated to providing the highest level of care and building trusting relationships with our patients.
Our Direct Primary Care model offers a low monthly fee that covers most services, making healthcare more accessible and cost-effective.
Our clinic is designed to provide a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere where patients can feel comfortable and cared for.
Preventative care for chronic illnesses and diseases, long-term healthcare management and diagnosis, and screenings for overall wellness and cancer detection.
Experience the convenience of unlimited visits through in-person appointments, video calls, or phone consultations, along with unlimited messaging directly to your provider for urgent matters outside of regular business hours.
Experience the benefit of longer appointment times tailored to your schedule, allowing you and your provider to focus on your health and wellness needs without feeling rushed. This personalized approach enables us to work together closely, creating a customized health plan that aligns with your long-term wellness goals.
We offer comprehensive care for acute illnesses and minor injuries, including services such as simple laceration repair and treatment for muscle sprains and strains.
Our clinic offers several minor procedures, including stitches, ear wax and toenail removal, cryotherapy, skin tag removal, and more, all included at no additional cost for our members. **Medications and outside lab tests are billed separately and are not included in membership fees.
Our dedication to serving as your advocate for health and wellness sets us apart from other medical practices. When your healthcare plan necessitates collaboration with other practitioners, we diligently seek cost-effective providers for each referral. We facilitate introductions, manage appointment scheduling, and have thoroughly vetted every specialist on our referral list.
We provide access to affordable cash prices for imaging, laboratory testing, and medications.
At no additional charge, our members have access to in-office tests for conditions such as strep throat, flu, UTIs, and pregnancy.

1. Direct primary care brings cost savings by eliminating insurance billing, coding, and administrative expenses, directly benefiting patients.
2. DPC offers a more affordable option, particularly for individuals without government-subsidized insurance or with high deductibles.
3. DPC provides increased access to care as providers typically have fewer patients than traditional primary care providers. This allows patients more time with their medical provider and easier access to care when needed.
4. DPC providers offer personalized care by taking a holistic approach that focuses on the patient as a whole, not just treating symptoms. They collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans.
5. At a DPC practice, members enjoy longer appointment times, enabling thorough discussions of health concerns and a deeper understanding of each patient's health needs.
6. DPC providers prioritize continuity of care by following their patients over time, fostering a comprehensive understanding of each patient's health needs.
7. DPC clinics provide comprehensive care, encompassing preventive care, chronic disease management, and basic laboratory services, among other offerings.
8. The DPC model fosters a closer patient-medical provider relationship, resulting in enhanced communication, higher patient satisfaction, and improved health outcomes.
9. Patients with direct primary care providers experience reduced emergency room visits due to the proactive and preventive nature of their care.
10. Research indicates that patients with direct primary care providers experience improved health outcomes, such as reduced hospitalizations, better blood pressure control, and enhanced diabetes management.
*The Direct Care business model complements patients' high-deductible wrap-around insurance plans for emergencies like hospitalizations or surgeries. However, for routine cases such as physicals, labs, or minor emergencies, the Direct Care subscription fee covers nearly everything or is available at a more affordable rate compared to high deductible plans.
